Launching a new theme “Friday Fragrance Finds”

It reeks dust and cobwebs in here, so time to do some restructuring 💁🏽♀️

Today we will be launching what we term as “Friday fragrance finds”

This will be a platform where we feature unique fragrances or talk about classic ones that are unpopular or share details about a fragrance that often goes unnoticed.

On this debut, we want to feature the very first oriental perfume in the world! Shalimar by Jacques Guerlain.

Launched in Paris 1925 at the international exhibition of decorative arts. Inspired by the love of fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in the 17th century whose love birth the pleasure gardens of shalimar which shelters their love as was told to Raymond and Jacques Guerlain by a Muharajah who visited Paris.

Oriental in its inspiration and formulation 😉

It’s suave gourmand notes, joyful citrus 🍊 burst and overdose of bergamot makes An exquisite blend with vanilla notes that forms the luscious heart of Shalimar!
