Perfume blogging!

This dream has been on my mind for about 3 years now but each time I summon enough courage to,  I fidget thinking my content may not be publishing-worthy anyway so why bother the lots with a thoughts that neither inspire nor persuade. Gone are the days when blogging was akin to keeping a diary. Ok fast forward to this hour I decided to just pick up and start from where I am.

I’ve known my mother to be into perfumes from as far back as my memory gifts me. And it was much of the vending and not so much about the artistic expression. My penchant for perfumes began from boarding  school where it was considered illegal to own one but we would still sneak in a few bottles. Night classes where the avenue to “show off” as no nosy class teachers to sniff the life out of you. It was so much of a competition we almost pulled the cap off, empty the bottles and soak in all the scents. We did this out of youthful cheerfulness oblivious of whatever impression we were making as perfume is an art itself.
Fast forward to uni days I became very picky as to what scent I’d be taking to school. I was beginning  to understand how my choice of scent reflects my personality and the influences and memories it stirs in people’s mind so I stuck to a few. My olfactory senses are easily pleased by woody-oriental, citrus based, vertiver, aqua scents that are dewy and evoke clean, crisp and effervescent not to mention very uplifting. I know that combination seems like asking for too much, but I got lucky to always get a few of those families combined or have it as a trade off between their notes from (top to base). Over time I realized my choices were fluidal although some people are so loyal to their scents but I tend to be very adventurous.

It’s  gratifying to spread the word about scents u really rate. Don’t Embody all of that elegance alone share that style with others. You never can tell whom your convincing. Share your perfume experiences and together let’s create our little ‘scentista’ group.

That a person doesn’t like a fragrance is no reflection on its merit.
